Club
Work Bond Policy
The work bond is one day of work (minimum 6
hours) per year for the club.
ALL CLUB MEMBERS WHO ARE RESIDENTS OF
COLORADO MUST MEET THE
WORK BOND REQUIREMENT.
The work bond can be satisfied in a
number of ways:
- 1. working at the range with a
designated work party
- 2. working at home or around town on an
approved project for the club which meets the time
requirements
- 3. working one day at a club sponsored
event, or conducting a club regular season match (the match
director is also entitled to an equivalent, complimentary match
entry fee)
- 4. work performed for the club by a
spouse, such as work in the stat house, is applied toward the
member's work bond requirement.
It is the member's responsibility to
discover work opportunities and complete the obligation.
The work obligation must be performed within
the current year.
If a new member joins the Club after the
September Board meeting, the work bond for that year is
waived.
Each member of the club shall perform
one workday each year with the following
exceptions:
- 1. Charter members, Endowment members,
and members over age 60 are not required to perform workdays but
are encouraged to do so
- 2. Juniors are not required to perform
workdays but are encouraged to do so
- 3. Members of the Board of Directors are
presumed to have completed the work obligation through service on
the Board
- 4. a member may petition the Board for
an individual exception to the work bond policy
- 5. a returning member (not a first year
member) may elect to pay a workday fee in lieu of actually
working. The amount of the workday fee is $50 for the work
bond.
A club member may present other options for
meeting the work bond requirement to a board member for consideration
by the Board.
